Members working for change in British Naturism

About

The BNchange campaign group are four individuals standing for the Executive Committee of the Central Council for British Naturism (sometimes known more simply as British Naturism or BN), but all have a single aim. They have a new vision of BN as a pro-active, campaigning organisation, not only promoting naturism to the British people but to national and local government too. This is step change from the BN many us know, which having reached 18,631 members in 2001, has been on a steady decline ever since and reactive in its defence of the little we have.
All the members of the BNchange are professional people, with a broad mixture of skills and competences. We are:
John Paine, standing for President. At 63-years old, John is a retired Community Development Officer and for almost two years, he was BN’s Research and Liaison Officer. He pro-actively contributed to campaigns led by local people to save naturism in their area. A naturist for over 30 years, he regularly contributes to UK naturist magazines.
Duncan Heenan, standing for Treasurer. Duncan is 58-years old and as a Chartered Accountant, with successful careers in business and general management, he has been able to retire early. Duncan and his wife have been naturists throughout their 36-year married life and members of BN since 1980. Duncan is a member of his local sun club on the Isle of Wight and various swims, as well as serving on committees.
Reg Barlow, standing for Vice-chairman. At 49-years old, Reg has been a civil servant for almost seven years, joining the HM Prison Service working in Human Resources. He now works for the newly created Ministry of Justice. A member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, he has been a member of BN since 1986 and of Shabden Leisure Circle since 2004, contributing to British Naturism, Naturist Life and H&E Naturist from time-to-time.
Stuart Troughton, standing for International Officer. Another civil servant, Stuart is employed by the Government Communications HQ; therefore it is perhaps understandable that there is not a lot he can tell us. Stuart stood for Treasurer during the last series of elections. Since then however, he has got married and with his new wife’s support, he hopes to make an invaluable contribution to BNchange’s attempt to set a new vision for British Naturism and its future.
